David Coate - Recycled wire sculpture

A simple length of wire on the ground...trash?
This is what happens when someone
THINKS
before they
throw.
Stray wires amongst the steel and glass buildings of downtown Portland catch the eye of artist, David Coate, who transforms them into modern sculpture. David is another of the talented, like-minded artists who exhibited at the McMenamins, Cracked Pots Ungarden Art show in Forest Grove, Oregon. David is also a long-time mixed media artist...some more of his fabulous work below:

Love, Knick Knack Nook & Shoe K Sims - Unusual designs, comissions, silly hats, www.myspace.com/knicknacknook
It's taken me some time, but I wanted to do a post featuring the fabulous artists I had the pleasure and honor to exhibit in the same room with at the Cracked Pots Ungarden Art Show. The venue, McMennamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove, Oregon far exceeded my expectations. K Sims shared a space right next to me, which was a real treat...to be exhibiting next to someone who's going to be making clothes for someone famous in the not to distant future. Be sure to check out her myspace page to see more photos of her work.
